Executive Pastry Chef
Chloe Diaz is the Executive Pastry Chef at Corner Café and Buckhead Bread Company. She brings great talent and many years of experience to her career and strives to grow daily in the restaurant business.
Chloe was born and raised in Lima, Peru, where she gained culinary inspiration from her mother, who loves cooking and garnishing every single dish. During Chloe’s childhood, her mother spent her Sundays cooking for the needy. After moving to America in 1991, Chloe joined Buckhead Life Restaurant Group and began working in the prep kitchen at Pricci making salads, pizza and pasta. When Corner Café and Buckhead Bread Company opened in 1996, she became the assistant pastry chef. After proving her talent and passion for cooking to guests and her employers, Chloe was promoted to her current position of Executive Pastry Chef.
Chloe holds many cooking certificates in the pastry field including the French Pastry School. She also obtained a certificate of completion for the Cacao Barry/Classic Gourmet Pastry Course in Pennsauken, New Jersey.
Chloe’s favorite foods to eat are sopa seca and ceviche, while she most enjoys cooking green rice and chicken with baked potato and Huancaína sauce. Her biggest culinary passion, however, is working with chocolate.
Chloe believes the main strength she brings to the food industry is her desire to always work ahead with new ideas. She lives by the conviction that “Every day there is always something new to learn.” In regards to her career, Chloe said “I am so excited to be a part of Buckhead Life Restaurant Group because we work as a family and a team that grows stronger every day.”
During her time off from work, Chloe enjoys playing volleyball, doing Zumba and Pilates and spending time with her two daughters.
